The forthcoming dance–a night of dancing, fun, and vivid memories–will surely be one for the books. The dance will complete forthcoming week which was filled with spirit days, the forthcoming football game, and the community pep rally. This year, the dance’s theme is “Red Carpet.”
Apart from the actual dance, lots of preparations are needed for students to look their best.
“For the dance, I got my nails and hair done,” Junior Aleigha Bollen said. “I also got my dress and shoes finalized last week. My friends and I made dinner reservations and we went shopping together. Since it is a big event in the school year, we made sure to plan ahead.”
There is no doubt that forthcoming is an anticipated event. Numerous students are enthusiastic for this night as they are able to spend valuable time with their friends and take a small break from the stress of academic life.
“I am looking forward to creating memories and taking super cute pictures with my friends,” Junior Keira Severin said. “I will be able to reminisce on that and think ‘Dang we really lived out that night’.”
Junior Diya Rautela mentioned a drawback from last years dance, which she hopes does not reoccur this year.
“I hope students will be able to make music suggestions and have more autonomy to make the selection for music,” Rautela said. “In my opinion, the music that was played last year was not as good as I wanted it to be. “
The FOCO dance will occur tonight, October 21st, in the Emerson High School cafeteria at 8:00 PM. The student body is encouraged to showcase their Maverick pride as Emerson concludes their last forthcoming season.
