Pushing through playoffs: During the second play off pep rally senior cheerleader Mariah Garcia performed for the students to hype up the energy. The Emerson Football Team has since played at Lubbock and Mineral Wells to win the area championship title. This playoff season has been exciting for Mavericks. “I’m so excited,” Garcia said. “It feels like an extension of the football season.”
