Celebrate the day of love as Emerson’s Best Buddies Club sells candy grams to students and teachers. Candy grams were sold in the quad during power hour from February first through February ninth and were delivered during Mav Time on Valentine’s Day. A candy gram containing two Blow pops costs $1 and a candy gram containing assorted candy is $2.
Best Buddies’ president, Andrea Lujan, shares the significance behind the candy grams.
“Candy grams are a way to send a token of appreciation or love to classmates, friends, teachers, and significant others for Valentine’s Day,” Lujan said. “They are a bag of blow pops or assorted candy with a card attached to it that says’ Will you be my valentine?’ They can be sent with the sender’s names or anonymously.”
These appreciation gifts will also financially benefit the Best Buddies Club so they can host enjoyable events for the club members.
“These candy grams can show your friends you appreciate and care for them!,” Vice President Sophie Fernandes said. “This can also be a cute gift if you have a teacher you admire and want to give them a gesture of thanks. Best Buddies can use these profits to help fund some fun activities for our buddies and club all together.”
