Austin Lee, Unbranded Technical Director & Reporter

Brooks Johnson, Unbranded Lead Editor
Brooks Johnson is a senior at Emerson and he serves as the Lead Editor for the Unbranded. He joined the Unbranded in 2021 and has been in the program for 3 years. He joined the class due to his passion for video editing and video compositing. Outside of the Unbranded, he likes playing the guitar and hanging out with friends.

Jacob Logan, Unbranded Associate Producer
Jacob Logan is a senior at Emerson and he serves as the Associate Producer for the Unbranded. He joined the Unbranded in 2022 and has been in the program for 3 years. He joined the class due to his love for movies, YouTube, and all things revolving around video. Jacob hopes to pursue film not just as a hobby, but a career too, planning to go to film school post-graduation. Whenever Jacob isn’t in school, or working on news stories, he’s usually playing drums, going to concerts, or hanging out with his close friends.

Giulia Tolar, Adviser
Giulia Tolar is the Audio/Video Production, Journalism, Newspaper, and Photojournalism teacher at Emerson High School. She is in her sixth year of teaching and third year as a Maverick. She holds her B.S. in Elementary Education from Grove City College, her M.S. in Educational Psychology from the University of North Texas, and she is pursuing her graduate certificate as an Educational Diagnostician from Dallas Baptist University.
She has taught fourth grade ELA and Social Studies, sixth grade World Cultures, and eighth grade US History prior to her time at Emerson. Some of her favorite hobbies are reading on her Kindle, baking, and spending time with friends and family. She also loves to travel with her husband! Together, they own and operate a wedding videography business and a photography business.
As Adviser for Unbranded Media, Giulia works to facilitate a team of student leaders to archive and broadcast the accomplishments and memories of Emerson Mavericks.
