Dear Readers,
As we bid farewell to another year of high school, and for some of us our final year, it is with a mixture of nostalgia and anticipation that I reflect on the journey we have embarked upon together. As the Editor-in-Chief, it has been both an honor and a privilege to serve as a conduit for the voices, stories, and experiences that shape Emerson.
From making it to playoffs for football our first year here to extraordinary performances shown by the fine arts department at every concert, each moment has woven together to create the rich tapestry of Emerson High School.
As we stand on the edge of graduation, I am filled with pride for the graduating class. Your achievements, both inside and outside the classroom, are a testament to your hard work, perseverance, and unwavering spirit. As you embark on the next chapter of your journey, I have no doubt that you will continue to inspire those around you with your boundless potential.
To the underclassmen, I urge you to seize every opportunity that comes your way (even if that means you suddenly become the Editor-in-Chief of the school newspaper…) Embrace the challenges, celebrate the successes, and cherish the friendships that will sustain you on your journey.
I extend my deepest gratitude to the faculty, staff, parents and community members who have supported us throughout the year. Your guidance, encouragement, and unwavering belief in our abilities since the beginning of our program have been the foundation upon which we have built our success. While building the newspaper program from the ground up was definitely a difficult journey, I could never give up the valuable memories I’ve earned.
As we look ahead to the future, I am filled with excitement for the adventures that lie ahead. Though our paths may diverge, the memories we have shared and the bonds we have forged will forever unite us as members of the Maverick family.
Signing off for the last time as your Editor-in-Chief,
Chloe Ro
Editor-in-Chief 2022-2024
