As New York Fashion Week has come to an end, the fashion community is left to analyze and predict trends for the upcoming season. As the trend cycle is always repeating, new elements are added every season that make the looks new and unique while old components are kept that remind us of past styles.
This season, brands commonly featured color palettes such as pastels and neutrals and silver jewelry and accessories. On clothing pieces, designers highlighted pieces studded with gems on the runway.
Neutral colors
Neutral colors have always been a staple part of every wardrobe, however, this season, high fashion brands have been leaning more towards these colors, specifically black, white, navy and brown.
Khaite spring summer 2025
As can be seen in the Khaite spring summer 2025 collection, designer Catherine Holstein used neutral colors in the pieces displayed. To compensate for this, she made sure the silhouettes of the pieces were bold to keep them visually interesting.

Sergio Hudson, too, incorporated a variety of pastel colors into his spring summer 2025 collection, however, he chose to add metallic, sequin, and iridescent elements to make his collection stand out. This collection specifically prompts spectators to reminisce styles popularly featured on the runway in the 90s.
Silver
While gold jewelry and accessories have become a macrotrend as of late, often being considered timeless pieces, brands such as Area and Christian Cowan switched it up this season; silver was prevalent in their collections.

These similarities between pieces from different brand’s collections allow the public to speculate on which items will be popular in the future. This way, those interested in fashion can stay ahead of the curve. While many of these looks will largely remain popular in high fashion, some trends will make their way into mainstream fashion which is largely representative of the clothing that people wear on an everyday basis.
Next year, while big gems and bold silhouettes might only stay relevant in the high fashion world, we will see more of elements like silver jewelry and neutral and pastel colors in people’s everyday wardrobe.
You might be surprised as to which trends from New York Fashion Week will make it all the way from the catwalk to your closet.
