Brooks Johnson, Unbranded Lead Editor
Brooks Johnson is a senior at Emerson and he serves as the Lead Editor for the Unbranded. He joined the Unbranded in 2021 and has been in the program for 3 years. He joined the class due to his passion for video editing and video compositing. Outside of the Unbranded, he likes playing the guitar and hanging out with friends.
Jaylen Meadows, Unbranded Staff Reporter
Jaylen serves as a Staff Reporter for the Unbranded. He is interested in being a part of the Unbranded team because he thinks it is a good way to gain experience in his field of work. Outside of the Unbranded he is a sports videographer and photographer and enjoys filming and editing a lot of player mixtapes.
Pakhee Verma, Unbranded Executive Producer
Pakhee Verma is a senior at Emerson High School and has been part of the Unbranded for four years. She is the Executive Producer for the unbranded this year. Her favorite part of her job is to be creative and put her ideas onto a screen as well as helping the team reach their full potential. When she is not working for the Unbranded she likes doing taekwondo, play guitar in her band, play chess, and play violin for the EHS orchestra. After high school, she aims to major in Data Science and then pursue a Master’s in Business Administration.
Hunter Cannon, Unbranded Staff Reporter
Hunter Cannon is a Junior at Emerson High School and he serves as a Staff Reporter for The Unbranded. His favorite part of his job is using cameras obtaining footage and putting creative ideas together. When not working for The Unbranded, he likes to play video games and hang out with his close friends and make videos together.
Janelle Nelson, Unbranded Staff Reporter
Destiny “Janelle” Nelson is a sophomore at Emerson High School and she serves as a Staff Reporter for The Unbranded. This is her first year with The Unbranded, but her third year as a news reporter. She has always had a passion for being on camera and reporting the latest news. She is a big music and horror fan and you’ll always find her listening to music or watching something scary. She wants to become a lawyer and when she’s not reporting, she is usually preparing for her next Debate competition.
Elijah Maynor, Unbranded Staff Reporter
Elijah Maynor is a senior at Emerson, and he is a part of the Unbranded as a Staff Reporter. He enjoys being apart of the Unbranded due to his love of filming and editing, and his favorite part of being a part of the Unbranded is being able to use his creativity to get the perfect shots and also being able to make entertaining videos for others to enjoy. Outside of the Unbranded his hobbies include making skateboarding videos, exploring with his friends, and attempting to make music. His main goal in life is to travel the word with his friends to make skateboarding videos, and that’s what he wants to be known for in life.
Julian Whitehead, Unbranded Staff Reporter
Julian Whitehead is a senior at Emerson High school and he serves as an Unbranded Staff Reporter. He has previous experience with the Unbranded through his AV Production Course in his junior year. He is interested in The Unbranded because he wants to share people stories and also their mindsets. Outside of The Unbranded, Julian spends his time with family and friends, doing his favorite hobbies such as cooking, singing, and just goofing around. His life goal is to become the first, second generation entrepreneur in his family.
