Maverick students competed in District Academic UIL competition at Liberty High School on Saturday, March 29. Students have worked all year to improve their skills, preparing them for their events. Throughout the day, students from high schools across the district competed in different categories under a set amount of time. Results of the competition were released later that evening. The top three individuals for each category will automatically advance to regionals, which take place on April 25 and 26 ad Walnut Grove High School. Individuals who scored fourth, fifth or sixth will be alternates for regionals.
Great job to all who competed, and good luck to those advancing to the regional competition!
