Welcome back to the first Unbranded broadcast of the year!

Janelle Nelson anchors as Hannah Hill and Chase Rodenhaver highlight Homecoming prep, Hunter Cannon and Aditi Sunil address new laws and changes, Cameron Johnson and K. Kennedy play “Match the Ducks” on Mavs in the Hallway, and Daniel Miller and Ru Yarlagadda introduce Emerson’s newest Assistant Principal, Dr. Marian Kursh!

Janelle Nelson
Janelle Nelson, Unbranded Executive Producer
Destiny “Janelle” Nelson is a Junior at Emerson High School and she serves as the Executive Producer The Unbranded. This is her second year with The Unbranded, but her fourth year as a news reporter. She has always had a passion for connecting with her community and sharing people’s stories. She aspires to pursue a professional career in Broadcast Journalism. She is a big fan of all things media and when she’s not working on the next Unbranded show, you’ll find her watching the latest movies.
Hannah Hill
Hannah Hill, Unbranded Staff Reporter
Hannah Hill is a senior at Emerson High School and is a staff reporter for the Unbranded. Hannah has done freelance editing for the past five years, before working on her first Unbranded show last year. She has joined the unbranded to gain professional experience in video editing before applying to film school, in hopes of one day being a film editor. Outside of the unbranded, Hannah is involved in a variety of extracurriculars and hobbies, two of which being theatre and weightlifting. She looks forward to the year to come with the Unbranded.
Chase Rodenhaver
Chase Rodenhaver, Unbranded Staff Reporter
Chase is a sophomore at Emerson High School and he serves as a Staff Reporter for the Unbranded. His favorite part of the Unbranded is working with cameras and interviewing people. When he is not at school he likes to talk about sports with friends and family and watch sports. His goal is to be a sports broadcaster.
Hunter Cannon
Hunter Cannon, Unbranded Staff Reporter
Hunter Cannon is a Senior at Emerson High School and serves as a Staff Reporter for the Unbranded. His favorite part of his job is using cameras and obtaining footage and editing them together and using creative ideas. When not working for The Unbranded, he likes to play and collect video games and hang out with his friends and make videos together.
Aditi Sunil
Aditi Sunil, Unbranded Staff Reporter
Aditi Sunil is a Sophomore at Emerson High School and is a staff reporter. This is her first year. outside of school she enjoys drawing, painting & baking in her free time. She also enjoys gardening and specifically growing lavenders. After highschool she wants to explore agricultural biology.
Daniel Miller
Daniel Miller, Unbranded Staff Reporter
Daniel Miller is a sophomore at Emerson High School and he serves as an Unbranded Staff Reporter. This is Daniel’s first year on the Unbranded, he is very excited and can’t wait to work on the Unbranded team. He likes doing entertainment and making people laugh, he also quite a big fan of sports. His hobbies consist of working out, sleeping, and hanging out with his friends. Daniel wishes to pursue and continue staff reporting for the Unbranded in the future.
Rudraksh Yarlagadda
Rudraksh Yarlagadda, Unbranded Staff Reporter
Rudraksh “Ru” Yarlagadda is Junior Staff Reporter on the Unbranded at Emerson High School. He has 4 years of experiences working on A/V programs. He enjoys editing and working the camera. Other than the Unbranded he volunteers and works. In his free time he hangs out with friends and builds/fixes Pc’s.
Joshua Slate
Joshua Slate, Unbranded Staff Reporter
Joshua Slate is a freshman at Emerson High School and a dedicated Staff Reporter for The Unbranded. He brings a diverse background in media production, having served as assistant director on multiple film sets and gained hands-on experience with high-end RED cameras. Joshua also has a solid foundation in journalism, reporting for Scoggins Middle School, and has contributed to advertising efforts for the startup company Castaway. He is best known for his original film, House of Hobbies, which was proudly accepted into the Dallas International Film Festival (DIFF). Beyond his media work, Joshua is an avid musician, playing the double bass with the Emerson Chamber Orchestra and the Greater North Texas Youth Orchestra Young Artists group. In his free time, he enjoys staying active by going to the gym and shooting hoops.
