On Thursday, Sept. 4, during the Emerson vs. Reedy half-time show, Emerson High School held their 2025 Fine Art Senior Night. This event honored all the fine art students in band, choir, color guard and the Majestics.
During the half-time performance, all the fine arts students got to have their moment down on the field. Each student had their name read out loud as well as the fine arts they’re in and what achievements/roles they had in their area. Names were called in the order of band, color guard, choir, then finally, the Majestics.

“It felt like when you hear the guard people cheering for you [thinking], ‘Aw they love me,’” color guard senior Elvina Louis, 12, said.
This was also a moment for senior parents and family members. During half-time, each student was allowed to pick two people to walk down on the field with them. Most students picked their parents, but some others picked siblings and other family members that mean a lot to them.
Senior parent, Tabitha Mcleland said, “I loved getting to see my daughter be so passionate in something that I also did when I was in high school and seeing the progress in everything.”
Many of the seniors have been in their field for all of high school, but some of them have only joined recently and it still made an impact on them. They have made many memories and friendships that will last a lifetime.
“Even though I have only joined last year, it has been so much fun,” Louis said.
