About
About Unbranded Media
Unbranded Media emerged at Emerson High School, Frisco ISD, upon the school’s inception in 2021. Our dedicated team comprises students enrolled in Audio/Video Production, Journalism, and Newspaper courses, collectively working to document and share our school experiences through the mediums of writing and video production.
Our Mission
Our primary mission at Unbranded Media is to serve Emerson High School’s staff and student body. Through straightforward storytelling via writing and video production, we aim to capture the essence of our school community while providing an honest, unfiltered perspective.
The Charge: Our Student-Led Newspaper
Editor-in-Chief: Sahasra Elaprolu & Associate Editor-in-Chief Yena Nam
The Charge, our student-led newspaper, is our platform for relaying school news. Our Editors-in-Chief lead our team in producing news, sports, opinion pieces, features, and arts and entertainment articles. The Charge is committed to highlighting the events within Emerson High School and making world news relevant to our student body.
The Unbranded: Our Student-Led News Broadcast
Executive Producer: Pakhee Verma & Associate Producer: Jacob Logan
The Unbranded, our biweekly news broadcast, delivers the latest from Emerson High School. Executive Producer Isabelle Smith and Associate Producer Pakhee Verma oversee the production of this show, which airs during Mav Time (our advisory classes). We focus on school news and engage staff and students with innovative segments, including the popular “Mavs in the Hall,” where we conduct spontaneous interviews. Our goal is to involve and celebrate as many Mavericks as possible, providing a unique perspective on our school community. Stay tuned for the stories that matter.
