Joshua Slate is a freshman at Emerson High School and a dedicated Staff Reporter for The Unbranded. He brings a diverse background in media production, having served as assistant director on multiple film sets and gained hands-on experience with high-end RED cameras. Joshua also has a solid foundation in journalism, reporting for Scoggins Middle School, and has contributed to advertising efforts for the startup company Castaway.

He is best known for his original film, House of Hobbies, which was proudly accepted into the Dallas International Film Festival (DIFF). Beyond his media work, Joshua is an avid musician, playing the double bass with the Emerson Chamber Orchestra and the Greater North Texas Youth Orchestra Young Artists group. In his free time, he enjoys staying active by going to the gym and shooting hoops.
