Giulia Tolar

Giulia Tolar, Adviser

Giulia Tolar is the Audio/Video Production, Journalism, Newspaper, and Photojournalism teacher at Emerson High School. She is in her sixth year of teaching and third year as a Maverick. She holds her B.S. in Elementary Education from Grove City College, her M.S. in Educational Psychology from the University of North Texas, and she is pursuing her graduate certificate as an Educational Diagnostician from Dallas Baptist University.

She has taught fourth grade ELA and Social Studies, sixth grade World Cultures, and eighth grade US History prior to her time at Emerson. Some of her favorite hobbies are reading on her Kindle, baking, and spending time with friends and family. She also loves to travel with her husband! Together, they own and operate a wedding videography business and a photography business. 

As Adviser for Unbranded Media, Giulia works to facilitate a team of student leaders to archive and broadcast the accomplishments and memories of Emerson Mavericks.
